Description

MRIO database created by Eurostat. 2010-2022. 45 countries + 1 rest-of-world region. 64 CPA/NACE sectors. CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC, NF3-SF6 emissions included.

When to use

Because this data is much more recent than EXIOBASE, and it is created by Eurostat, it is likely to be highly reliable, and a good choice for spend-based factors, in particular in the EU. See EEIO database selection advice for more information.

Limitations

Less granular than EXIOBASE in terms of product sectors covered, in particular, the electricity and gas sector is a single aggregated category.
