When to use
These factors should be used for calculating emissions resulting from activities such as:
- Stationary fuel combustion
- Mobile combustion of various fuels by various vehicle types across model years (including Transportation & Distribution methods)
- Purchased electricity
- Steam and heat usage
- Waste generated across end-of-life treatment methods
- Refrigerant leaks
To ensure regional alignment, these calculations should be done for activities that ideally occurred within the United States.
